Welcome to the message page for Mawnan Parish Council which has been set up to inform our residents.
**Final chance to feedback on the future plans for the Carwinion Playing Field. Mei-Loci will be at the MCA at Carwinion Playing Field this Friday 23rd Jan from 12pm- 5pm to meet you and show you the masterplan they have produced. This is your chance to give them any feedback or thoughts you have so please come down and speak to them!
For anyone that hasn't seen it yet MP Perran Moon is holding a Storm Goretti Feedback Forum in the Memorial Hall today (Saturday 17 Jan) from 3:30 to 5pm
Update: Sam and Tim did a great job and completed all works to the playing field on Friday, so it's fully open again on Saturday 17 January.![]()

The playing field will be closed on Friday 16 January, and possibly Saturday 17 January, while improvement works take place, including the removal of the zip wire, which is over 20 years old.![]()

For everyone’s safety, please do not enter the site and follow all signage and barriers. We know this route is regularly used by dog walkers and school families, so please plan a safe alternative route through the village whilst these works are taking place. The public footpath (#220/16/1) that runs outside the playing field and behind Abbeyfield from Grove Hill to Carwinion Road will remain open.![]()

👉Please be reassured that a new zip wire is planned for installation in March, and the Parish Council is working very hard to secure funding for additional play equipment. Our crowdfunder is still open and gratefully accepting donations. ![]()
