Design Mawnan Park and Village Fete
Join us to help design Mawnan Park (aka Mawnan Junior Playing Field) on Tuesday 3rd September from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Contribute your ideas to help us bring it back to its former glory and have fun! Entry is free, and there’s no charge to enter the fancy dress competition. There will be plenty of free activities for kids. Please come and support us!

Village Fete Programme
12:00 PM Gates open.
12:15 PM Fancy dress judging in Mawnan Junior Playing Field. Theme – “Magical World!” Categories by age group; individual or group entries.
12:45 PM Fancy dress parade sets off (from Mawnan Junior Playing Field to Carwinion Playing Field and back).
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM Drop-in sessions for ‘Design Mawnan Park’ (aka Mawnan Junior Playing Field) with Earth Wrights playground designers in Mawnan Bowling Club. Display of children’s designs. Complementary refreshments will be available.
12:00 PM – 5:00 PM Face painting, craft stalls, games, bicycle safety checks, raffle ticket sales (up until 4:00 PM), tombola, food and drink stalls.
1:15 PM Prize giving for fancy dress competition.
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Falmouth Fire Station’s Red Watch
4:00 PM Prize giving for raffles, etc.
Location
The event will be held at Mawnan Bowling Club and Mawnan Junior Playing Field. The fancy dress parade will set off from the Junior Playing Field, proceed up Carwinion Road to Carwinion Playing Field, and then return. Please note that a small section of Carwinion Road will be closed for 30 minutes, from 12:45PM until 13:15PM. We encourage attendees to walk or cycle to the event (note if you bring your bicycle you can get a free safety check). Limited parking will be available at Carwinion Playing Field. If parking on the roads, please be considerate of local residents. Some parking will be available for Blue Badge holders at Mawnan Bowling Club.
