We hope you’ve had a fantastic Easter and got the chance to spend some quality time with friends and family out on the South West Coast Path.
April marks the start of National Pet Month where thousands of people up and down the UK will be celebrating life with their pets. We know there are many animal lovers amongst you, enjoying long walks on the Coast Path with your dog. Just for you (and your four-legged friends) here’s our favourite dog walks in North Devon, North Cornwall, West Cornwall, South East Cornwall, South Devon and East Devon and Dorset.
Join us for a spring ramble on Friday 20th April to take advantage of the improving weather. A four mile, volunteer led walk, with stunning views of Thurlestone Rocks and Burgh Island, followed by tea and cake. To book a place click here. For the art lovers amongst you, we'd recommend the Salcombe and Soar Mill Cove walk where at point six, you can walk inland to the East Soar Walker's Hut where there is a student art exhibition raising awareness about environmental issues. You can read more about the exhibition here. You can also help fight the war on plastic by joining our friends at Living Coasts who are running a series of beach cleans around Torbay. Click here to find out more.
Staying with the art theme, we selected the winner for our annual photography competition along with 11 runners up who will all feature in the 2019 South West Coast Path Association calendar. Click here to read more and see the winning images. If you have a camera, why not head out on the Path and get creative? We’ll be launching another competition later this year so keep an eye out for more info!
