One of the best!

Coastline Housing is rated as one of the best landlords in the country.

We are placed at number 25 in the top 50 recently published by magazine 24 Housing.

It compared hundreds of housing associations across the country, looking at the many extra services and benefits to local communities provided in addition to housing.

Building a top reputation

Coastline Housing is one of the top 50 biggest builders in the country.

Charts published by Inside Housing magazine place us at number 40, ahead of many much larger housing providers around the UK.

Coastline is currently in its most rapid period of growth ever. Earlier this year it celebrated customers moving into its 1,000th new-build home, and plans to complete at least 300 a year through to 2021.

A good result for Miners Court

Miners Court in Redruth has been rated as ‘good’ by the Care Quality Commission following an inspection.

This means inspectors found the service to be performing well and meeting expectations.

On hearing the news, residents and staff at the Extra Care complex organised a celebratory tea party with a colourful rainbow cake to mark the occasion.

A helping hand

A pilot project to help tenants facing Council Tax debt has been launched by Cornwall Council Revenues and Assessment Team, Coastline Housing, LiveWest and Ocean Housing.

It is hoped that some initial extra help and funding for tenants struggling with this particular debt will help them take big steps forward in many different ways.

Customer away day

Over 200 Coastline Housing customers came to the landlord’s away day at Flambards in Helston.

We hold an away day each year to gather opinions from people living in our homes about how they feel Coastline is performing and what they think of future plans and initiatives.

A former Cornish Wrestling champion from Helston who developed a taste for studying in his 40s has been named Most Committed Student on his apprenticeship programme this year.

Matthew Deacon works for Coastline Services carrying out Grounds Maintenance contracts and has just completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Horticulture through Cornwall College.
